Itinerary

Day 1 – 3 Arrival and stay at Qom

1st day

After arrival at IKA Airport we move to Qom, first thing to do is paying respect to the holy shrine of Lady Fatima Masuma, the rest of the day is at leisure.

2nd day

The day starts with a visit to Prophet Khezr Mountain before going to Jamkaran mosque, in the afternoon we visit the house of Imam Khomeyni, the founder of the Islamic revolution of Iran and a free discussion about Islam is held in presence of a great scholar of Hawzah. If time allows we will visit Mar’ashi Najafi Library, the third biggest library of the Islamic world.

3rd day

Ziarah of the holy shrines of Chehel Akhtaran, Moosa Mobargha and Seyyed Sarbakhsh is our first program of the day; after that we visit Jami’ mosque of Qom. Lunch is served at a traditional house. In the afternoon, we visit Astaneh museum which holds some unique antiquities of the past. Before doing Al-Wida’ ziyarah you are given information about different parts of the holy shrine. We pass the night in Qom.

Day 4Tehran and travel to Mashhad

Early in the morning we leave Qom for Tehran and of course not without stopping en route to visit the holy shrine of Imam Khomeyni. The first thing we do in Tehran is ziyarah of Shah Abdol Azim shrine. In the afternoon, we stop at Nature Bridge and if time allows visit the holy defense museum before we leave for Mashhad by train or airplane.

Day 5 – 8Mashhad and Neyshabur and fly back home

5th day

No doubt we are to pay our deepest respect to Imam Ridha (pbuh) as soon as we arrive in Mashhad. Pir palanduz, an ‘Arif in a shrine adjacent to the holy shrine of Imam Ridha, is another place we visit, and the rest of the day you have the time to yourself.

6th day

We move towards Neyshabur to visit Ghadamgah, the place with a dark black stone which is believed to be the footstep of Imam Ridha (pbuh). Then we go on to Neyshabur, a very old city, to visit Jami’ mosque of Neyshabur and other attractions. In the afternoon we see Attar or Khayyam monument and museum; both are great Iranian poets and thinkers. The last thing to do is strolling in the bazaar of turquoise (Firoza: a sacred stone in Islam) and enjoy our shopping time in Neyshabur. then it’s time to go back to Mashhad.

7th day

We go to the holy shrine for Ziyarah of the Imam for Salat al-Fajr. Take a rest in the hotel as we shall have a busy and exciting day ahead. We go to various and famous Bazaars of Mashhad for shopping. The afternoon is to be spent in Water Park.

8th day

An early morning visit to Astan Quds Razavi Central Museum, the collection of which is related to the Islamic period. We then get more familiar with the different parts of the holy shrine before having the holy food of the holy shrine for lunch. To fly to Najaf we have to say farewell to Imam Ridha, so we all do Al-Wida’ Ziyarah (the last visit to the holy shrine) and fly to Najaf.

Day 9-11Najaf, travel to Karbala

9th day

As soon as we check in the hotel, we go for Ziyarah of the holy shrine of Imam Ali (pbuh) and spend the night in Najaf.

 

10th day

The second day in Najaf starts with visiting the holy shrine of Imam Ali (pbuh). Then we go to the great Mosque of Kufa and visit the martyrs buried there. Al-Hannanah Mosque is the other place we visit.

 

11th day

In the morning, we visit Wadi-us-Salaam, the biggest cemetery in the world, paying respect to Prophet Hood and Saleh beside many others who are buried there. We go to the holy shrine of Imam Ali (pbuh) to do Al Wida’ Ziarah, as we are to leave Najaf for Karbala in the afternoon. We visit Sahle mosque en route and spend the first night in Karbala.

Day 12-15Karbala, travel to Sammara and Kadhimiya, go back to Karbala

12th day

The first thing to do in the morning is paying respect to Imam Hossein (pbuh) and Abbas ibn Ali. Then we go to Maqam Imam Mahdi (pbuh), Maqam Kaf-o-al Abbas, and we see Alqameh stream that flows through the city carrying stories from the past.

13th day

First thing in the morning is to visit the holy shrines. Then we visit Tal al-Zeinabi, Kheymegah, the tomb of Habib ibn Madhahir and the rest of the companions who are all near the holy shrine of Imam Hossein (pbuh).

14th day

It’s time to start a journey to visit the holy shrines of Imam Askareeyain in Samarra and Holy Shrines of Al-Jawadain in Kadhimiya. After visiting these holy shrines, we go back to Karbala to spend the last night of our trip in this holy city near the holy shrines of Imam Hussein and Abbas ibn Ali

Day 15Karbala and Baghdad

It’s time to end this memorable travel. The tour ends after breakfast at our hotel in Karbala. Transfer is included to take you to Baghdad or Najaf for your flight home. If you wish to extend your stay in Iran, please inform us in advance.
